Dr. Tracy Kitchel is the newest member of the Kentucky FarmHouse Association and Newest Chapter Advisor.
He joined the UK faculty in the Department of Community and Leadership Development about 4 years
ago. He also is Director of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning in the College of Agriculture.
Tracy is unique in our Association---he did not join us as an alumni member of another FarmHouse chapter or
as an Associate member of the Kentucky Chapter. Rather, he was a member of the Alpha Tau Zeta chapter at
Ohio State University. ATZ and FarmHouse International have recently merged—so the ATZ chapter has become
the newest FH colony and their alums have become FH alums.
Dr. Kitchel received a BS and a MS from Ohio State and a Ph.D. from the University of Missouri, all in Agricultural
Education. He received a Young Professional Achievement Award from the OSU College of Food,
Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Alumni Society in 2008. Tracy and his wife, Laura, a choir teacher
at Lexington Christian Academy, have a three-year old daughter, Isabel.
